It’s Time to Plan Your Christmas Marketing Campaign

Posted on: September 9, 2024

I know! It still feels like summer, and the kids just went back to school. We could all use a little rest. But, alas, it is time. Planning your ad campaigns well in advance gives you the best return on your marketing investment, so let’s get to it.

Step 1: Assessing Trends

Trends are constantly changing, particularly in younger demographics, and are of course, dependent on your industry and market. Corporate buyers are the ones with the inside track on what’s expected to be popular for holiday gifting, so speaking to your suppliers is a great first step. After that, general social media analytics can be helpful, as well as big brand ads that are already running.

Step 2: Checking Supply and Delivery Availability

With supply chains still being somewhat unpredictable, make sure you’ll be able to get what you need to provide the products or services you’re planning to advertise.

Step 3: Choosing Your Target Market(s)

As we discussed in a recent article, you don’t always have to advertise to your entire market. Some items or services may have niche marketing opportunities, and these are often the campaigns that are more cost-efficient and effective. Also, remember that it is gifting season, so you want to appeal to the buyer as well as the intended recipient. E.g. “A great gift for dad!”

Step 4: Planning the Strategy and Creative

The next step is choosing the timing, channels, and creative aspects of your campaign. Our team can be particularly helpful with these factors. What we’ll want to know from you are all of the selling features of the product or services.

Step 5: Putting the Plan into Action

This is the easiest step for you because we’ll take care of it all! We’ll produce and set up all of the ads, let you know what’s happening when, and stay in touch with you about what the tracking analytics are suggesting.

Now, pumpkin spice latte anyone?
