Harris Green is an up-and-coming neighborhood in a central location, great for those looking for a more affordable suburban option that’s also close to downtown so that it reduces one’s dependency on the car. In fact, there have been a number of high-density condo developments that make it one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods in the city. It’s also a great option for working professionals, especially since it’s biking or walking distance to the downtown area. It can be best described as a lively and emerging neighborhood with new and interesting opportunities.

What further makes this place desirable for downtown commuters is its proximity to the center, the urban streetscape, and its access to transit.

But perhaps the most famous thing in this neighborhood is the Harris Green Village, which serves as a social and commercial hub and is present right at the center. It came about from a beautification initiative from the late 1990s and includes a wide variety of amenities like specialty shops, cafés, restaurants, and local grocery stores. The residential community also enjoys things like theaters, markets, and coffee shops. Recreational and sports enthusiasts also love that the Royal Athletic Park is only a few minutes away.
Most amenities here are commercial, making the neighborhood a great place to dine out, get a tan, take a yoga class, hit the gym, or attend a play. The neighborhood is also home to the Christ Church Cathedral and the Metropolitan Methodist Church. Both of these are equally stunning, with a rich history and stunning architecture.

Most housing here was built from 1960 to 1980 and new developments were made from 1990 to 2000 which resulted in many new condo projects in the neighborhood. The housing market mostly has apartments and condos and a few single-family homes. The residents here are equally renters and homeowners. Victoria bc canada

Residents here enjoy the convenience of having everything nearby. In fact, the people living here, too, are a mix of individuals across the social spectrum and ages and the community itself promises a small-town feeling. You’re very likely to run into your friends or neighbors while you’re out running errands!

In addition to Bastion Square, downtown has a number of interesting things to do, such as the indoor climbing center, board game café, Haunted Manor: Mini Golf + Ping Pong, Miniature World, and Victoria Bug Zoo. There are a few parks in the area, too, such as Centennial Square and Cridge Park. The area is complete with a cathedral, a cinema, and a few shopping malls
