T’was the week before Christmas
And Santa was stressed.
The sleigh was all dirty,
The workshop a mess.
The elves were all tired,
But not finished yet.
Dancer and Prancer
Were sick at the vet.
Santa took a deep breath
And said “Everything’s fine.
We’ll figure it out.
We are always on time!”
He tried to sound confident,
Though he knew they were toast,
But he had an idea,
And started to post.
He posted to Facebook,
And Bluesky and X.
And a photo to Insta
To give some context.
And to his amazement,
They flew in the door –
The cook, and the plumber,
And so many more!
They tucked in the elves
And scrunched down at the bench,
They hammered and glued, and
Asked Santa, “What next?”

They worked day and night
And got all the toys made.
Even brought the deer home,
Even polished the sleigh.
He thanked the townspeople
With a tear in his eye,
Then he mounted the sleigh
And said, “Christmas is nigh.”
As he drove through the sky
his gratitude welled.
When friends come to help,
Then all hope is upheld.
Merry Christmas!
