How they show up

The work behind the title

Nick is CEO and partner at IIAS, in the work since 2015. The days are less about a job title and more about keeping clients close, making sure the team has what it needs, and staying current on marketing, AI, and the websites those things live on.

He cares about the result, and he cares about the people. If you want to talk about the business, he is in. If you want to talk about life, he can do that too, without turning it into a pitch.

People who know him call him calm and grounded. The same self-awareness shows up in how he works: focus on the task in front of you, then be with family and friends when that is the moment you are in.

Off the clock

The human details

Ask Nick what he cannot live without and he writes one word: love. Everything else on this list is that honest.

What he just finished

Alex Hormozi’s $100M books, then Poor Charlie’s Almanack. When Nick finishes something, it is because he wants the idea, not a tidy stack on the shelf.

What he does for fun

He is outside a lot: working out, bouldering, paddle boarding, snowboarding. Then the other Nick shows up, the one who will sit for a musical, a Disney movie, or Super Smash Bros with friends, and still talk shop because that part of him never fully clocks out.

What he cannot live without

Love. He did not dress it up, and he did not add a second sentence. That is the whole answer, and it tells you more than a gadget list would.

What he wanted to be as a kid

A doctor, maybe. He says he did not really mind. The point was never a poster on the wall. It was doing work that actually helped someone.

What he is weirdly good at

The Rubik’s Cube. Piano, violin, and guitar. Remembering the randomest facts about the randomest things, even though his memory is usually not that good. Backflips, muscle-ups, and a 60-inch box jump. He is not sure if that counts as weird. It is definitely him.

The most Nick thing

People who know him land on the same two words: very calm, very grounded. That is the person in the room, not a brand version of him.

The last rabbit hole

Business, leads, marketing, copy, and strategy. Always. He does not really have a side quest for falling down. The work is the rabbit hole, and he is fine with that.

Go-to fuel

Caffeine pills. Direct, no ceremony, no eight-syllable drink order. He wants to be awake for the next problem.

If he were not doing this

Some other kind of business. He would still be building something, still caring about the people inside it, still chasing a result you can point at.

A hill he will die on

EQ over IQ. Read the room, then do the smart thing. Being clever without being decent is not a skill he is interested in.
